Southampton winger Jason Puncheon says Blackpool's defenders deserve greater credit.
Puncheon is on-loan at Bloomfield Road to the end of the season.
"People say that Blackpool just attack, attack, attack, but I don't think that's the case, some of the lads at the back were clearing things off the line, making interceptions and last ditch blocks and while it might be desperate, it's still very good defending and they don't get enough credit for that," he told the club's website.
"If I had one criticism it would be that we weren't clinical enough, myself included, and if we'd have found a third goal then that would've killed the game off and taken the pressure off the back four."
