Middlesbrough manager Tony Pulis is hoping that he can reunite with West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison.
The Scotland international is now a free agent after his contract expired with Albion.
The 32-year-old is still training with the club, but interest from Middlesbrough is sure to appeal to him.
Blackburn and Derby County are also interested in his services, according to Sky Sports News.
Pulis and Morrison worked with each other at West Brom.
