West Brom boss Tony Pulis says they must keep expectations in-check after their draw with Tottenham.

Saturday's result means Albion have only lost two of their opening eight league games.

But pragmatic Pulis, who met with new owner Guochuan Lai after the draw, says expectations need to be kept in check.

“As soon as you take your eye off the ball and think you're better than what you are and start becoming complacent then the bottom drops out," he said.

“There's a lot of clubs in the Championship that have managed to do that but this club needs to keep its feet firmly on the ground, try and improve every window and that's what we're going to try and do."
