West Brom boss Tony Pulis defended his players after defeat to Liverpool.
The Baggies were flat for the 1-0 home reverse.
But Pulis insisted: “I know where I am and I know where this club is.
"We've been fantastic and it's not as though the team isn't creating chances, isn't working hard enough or isn't a team.
“We came up against a side today, have a look at the resources they've go, and we we gave them a game.
“That's what we want to do in every game we play.
“We've played Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool and given teams with resources way beyond our dreams a game and that's what I want to do.
"We're still eighth in the Premier League with five or six games to go do we're not doing too badly.
“It's been a great season for West Bromwich Albion and West Bromwich Albion supporters."
