Pulis urges Stoke fans to get behind players

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is hoping fans get behind the players against West Bromwich Albion.

The intimidating atmosphere at the Britannia has been a key weapon and Pulis is hoping, whatever the fans feel about him, they will roar their team on in the remaining nine games.

He said: "The supporters have been brilliant at our place for five years. I put it in my programme notes that that is one thing that has helped us enormously. We need to keep that going.

"We've got five games at home, four away. They're all really competitive games, two local derbies, Manchester United and Spurs as well. They'll be tough games so we desperately need them to get behind us and keep the players going.

"The players are the most important people in any football club and they thrive on confidence. I think the supporters can help that enormously. You just hope everybody turns up on Saturday and they get behind their team and their players."
