Pulis urges Crouch to continue Stoke form

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis feels that Peter Crouch just has to keep playing at the standard he currently is to get an England recall.

The towering centre-forward was left out of Roy Hodgson's 25-man squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland but Pulis suggests he simply needs to continue his great start to the season which has yielded four goals in six matches.

"I spoke to Peter about it (not getting an England call-up) and said the best thing Peter can do is keep doing what he is doing," Pulis said.

"He's played exceptionally well last year and he's started this season on fire. He's been our best player probably over the games we have played and his goal tally is very, very good and we're very pleased with him."
