Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is full of pride over the way they've climbed the table this season.
Three back-to-back wins, followed by a draw with moneybags Manchester City, has catapulted Pulis' unfashionable outfit right up the table.
And he admits there's nothing like the buzz of pitting his wits in a league that is the strongest in Europe.
In a defiant message to other Premier League clubs, he said: "I just don't care what the bigger clubs do in terms of spending. It honestly doesn't bother me at all.
"The only thing that I concentrate all my efforts on is what we are doing.
"For us to be eighth in a league like this - and solvent - is remarkable. But it's not an accident, either."
Pulis added: "We are a long, long way from what we want to achieve but come the day that I do walk away, I want to be very proud of what I have achieved here."
