Pulis reveals West Brom say job safe

West Brom boss Tony Pulis says he's been assured his job is safe.

The Albion head coach says his position at the Hawthorns is unaffected by a legal ruling this week that tarnished his reputation and landed him with a legal bill estimated at almost £6million.

He says West Brom's new Chinese owner Guochuan Lai has reassured him via chairman John Williams that him that his current role is unaffected.

"The Chinese have spoken to John about it and they've told John, 'Tell Tony just get on with the job and do what he's doing'," he said. "They've known about this since it started so they've been kept well in touch and they've been absolutely fantastic.

"The tough week has nothing to do with West Brom, the team or the club. It hasn't deflected from how I have run the club and the way I have tried to run the team.

"Obviously I've got to bite my tongue a little bit at the moment.

"I'm really disappointed with the outcome and strenuously deny what has been said. But it's been done. I have to move on and we have to move on."
