West Brom boss Tony Pulis has promised fans of some late transfer "surprises".
Pulis said that he is looking to do "a lot of business" ahead of the closure of the transfer window in a fortnight, and the 57-year-old admitted fans should expect a "period of transition" in settling the new signings.
"We've lots of business to do and lots of work to do," he said. "Unfortunately we've not been able to do but I think we'll eventually get there.
"This is a season of change, we're hoping, and people are going to have to be patient in lots of respects because there's going to be new players coming in.
"They're going to have to work and work with the group. I'm hoping if we can do the business we're trying to do, I think we'll surprise a few people. The quality and competition will hopefully go up."
