Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is confident Thomas Sorensen will pen a new contract.

The Danish goalkeeper had six months left on his contract but had been holding back after spending over a year playing second fiddle to Asmir Begovic.

But Potters boss Tony Pulis said: "Talks are getting close."
