Pulis calls for noise from Potters fans in FA Cup tie

Stoke boss Tony Pulis wants Stoke fans to generate the kind of atmosphere experienced at their opponents West Ham's Upton Park. The Potters were defeated 3-0 in the Barclays Premier League game a week ago, a result in which Pulis feels the noise of the Hammers crowd played no small part.

"We experienced the fantastic atmosphere which they created at Upton Park on that occasion and it certainly drove them on after we made a promising start," said Pulis.

"Now, it's up to our fans to do likewise and I am sure they will create a fantastic atmosphere.

"West Ham have taken one end of the stadium and they will be in full voice, so our fans need to make sure that the other three sides of the ground drown them out."

The backing Stoke receive at their own ground certainly seems to have made a difference of late.

The Potters have lost all of their six league games on the road in 2011, but their home record since the turn of the year shows four wins and two draws in all competitions.

"I think the big difference is that we are playing at the Britannia," Pulis said.

"We are unbeaten in our last six games there.

"Now we have the chance to play in front of our supporters - West Ham had it very vocal at Upton Park last week, and our place will be rocking on Sunday."
