Danny Pugh may not get his loan move away from Stoke City.

The versatile midfielder has complained about the lack of action he's seen this season.

But Stoke have already loaned out Andrew Davies and Richard Cresswell to Sheffield United, Ibrahima Sonko to Hull and defensive pair Ryan Shotton and Carl Dickinson to Barnsley.

Former Manchester United trainee Pugh was left out of the squad for Sunday's trip to Everton, but that was the first time this season he hasn't made the bench for a Premier League game.

His departure would also weaken Stoke's Carling Cup squad ahead of their third-round tie at Portsmouth on October 27.
