Southampton boss Claude Puel believes his side lacked the clinical edge in the 2-0 home defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

The French manager admits that his side need to be clinically sharper against the top six sides in Premier League.

"It's a big disappointment. We had many opportunities to score without finding a clinical edge," Puel reflected.

"It's difficult to accept after this game but we know we have to find the clinical edge.

"This is often the same against the top six and we need to improve to get reward from these games."
