Leicester City boss Claude Puel was overruled by club chiefs in his pursuit of Marseille wing-back Bouna Sarr, it has been revealed.
Puel pushed to sign Sarr last month and the Foxes even made two offers of €3m and €5m for him.
But L'Equipe says Leicester refused to go higher as the board were unconvinced about Sarr's quality.
Nice, Lyon and Lille are also interested. However, Leicester are unlikely to try again unless OM keep their price low.
