England U21 boss Stuart Pearce hailed Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after his hat-trick against Iceland.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's feat might even earn him a place in Fabio Capello's senior squad for a friendly pencilled in for next month IF they qualify for the finals in Montenegro tonight.

Pearce said: "He was outstanding, not just for his goals but for his all-round performance.
