PSV Eindhoven have secured first option on Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel.

The Dutchman has cut short his loan with Stoke City to join PSV on a six-month deal.

It is for a straight loan. However, Eindhoven Dagblad says PSV have an option on the midfielder.

PSV can sign Van Ginkel if they match any rival bid that arrives for him this summer.

"I still have 2.5 years at Chelsea on my contract. Playing there remains the ultimate, but I am one hundred percent engaged in PSV," said the ex-Vitesse Arnhem star.
