Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is being linked with a return to PSV Eindhoven.

PSV coach Phillip Cocu is in the market for a new midfield signing this month.

He had hoped to take Marco van Ginkel on-loan from Chelsea. But the Dutchman called off the move due to a knee complaint.

Cocu now has Pereira under consideration as an alternative.

PSV chief Marcel Brands is expected to put in a call to United today to discuss the midfielder's availability.
