PSV Eindhoven have offered Jozy Altidore an escape route out of Sunderland.

The USA international has failed to find his scoring boots since his summer arrival on Wearside and has found his place under further threat by the arrival of Ignacio Scocco from Internacional.

PSV are keen to take Altidore on-loan to the end of the season, though reluctant to pay a fee.

Sunderland are willing to do a deal - if PSV agree to cover Altidore's £30,000-a-week wages.
