Marco van Ginkel made his Chelsea comeback for their 1-1 draw with Everton U23 last night.

The midfielder was making his first appearance since suffering a knee injury in preseason, which saw a loan move to PSV Eindhoven fall through.

PSV chief Marcel Brands has kept the door open to Van Ginkel joining in January.

Van Ginkel lasted an hour, while fellow returnee Kurt Zouma was also substituted at the same time.

The Dutchman had a successful spell last season with PSV.
