PSV Eindhoven fear losing out to Liverpool in the battle for Swiss whizkid Xherdan Shaqiri.

Dutch sources say PSV were confident of luring the teenage attacker to Holland next season on a Bosman deal.

But it's now emerged that Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson wants to bring Shaqiri to Anfield and is willing to splash out to make the deal happen in January.
