PSV Eindhoven coach Philip Cocu hopes to keep hold of on-loan Manchester City defender Karim Rekik.
Cocu hopes to persuade City to let Rekik return to the Philips Stadion next season.
He told the club's official website: "We will do everything to work that out.
"Karim is a very important player for PSV. I am not surprised at all he has been included in the Dutch squad.
"For his development it's important he plays weekly. That is also something we will let Manchester City know."
