PSV Eindhoven chief Marcel Brands has confirmed they're hoping to close a loan deal for Manchester City midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Ukraine international joined City over the summer from FC Ufa and is expected to play away on-loan this term.

"We know the conditions under which we can hire him. If Manchester City agrees, he can quickly go.

"We are waiting for the yes of Manchester City," said Brands.

"Zinchenko is a player with great quality, he is only 19 years old and was with his country at the European Championships this summer. We've followed him for a long time, but it was not feasible for us to buy him. Manchester City has paid a great amount for him.

"Zinchenko's interesting for us because he can play on both flanks."
