Paris Saint Germain refuse to give up their bid to prise Claude Makelele away from Chelsea.
But Makelele - who will become a free agent at the end of next season - is stalling over the offer as he would prefer a longer deal.
And PSG boss Paul Le Guen, who held more talks with Makelele last week, reckons a two-year offer could persuade him to uproot.
He said: "I have spoken again to the player to tell him that, like last year, we have the intention to make him come to Paris."
