The Mirror says Cavani is ready to be part of the Manchester United revolution, despite the Old Trafford side missing out on the Champions League.
Cavani has told friends that he is ready to take the plunge and join United this summer, even though the identity of David Moyes' successor is still to be confirmed.
One source said: "Edinson believes he will be a perfect fit in England. He knows that United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all interested and would be happy to talk to any of them. But he also knows United seem the most keen and that is a factor."
United are willing to go as high as £60 million to sign Cavani this summer.
