Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi believes that Mamadou Sakho is clean despite the defender failing a drugs test.
Sakho has been temporarily barred from any competitive football after it emerged that he had failed a drug test after taking fat burning pills and he now faces a lengthy ban.
The ban has seriously put Sakho's long-term career in the sport into doubt but French teammate Matuidi has gone on to state his belief that the Liverpool star is not a drug cheat..
Matuidi said: "I will be very sad for him because he's like a brother to me. I know he's clean and a correct person.
"He's a warrior and I hope that everything will be sorted out. I'm with him with all my heart."
