PSG midfielder David Beckham is being paid huge money by Sky TV.

The Daily Mail says the former Manchester United star Beckham is being paid an extraordinary £20million-plus over five years to work as a Sky Television ambassador.

The huge deal demonstrates how seriously Rupert Murdoch's network are taking the challenge to their football coverage from BT Sport, who launch this summer. Sky are selling Beckham's arrival as being all about his support for their grassroots schools initiative Living for Sport.

Yet far more crucial to Sky will be the Paris St-Germain midfielder's role in promoting their services which compete with BT, who are understood to be paying Tottenham's Gareth Bale £2m over three years to be their key football ambassador.
