PSG signing Pastore convinced of silverware after Palermo departure

PSG mega signing Javier Pastore is convinced of success after joining from Palermo.

The Argentine was linked with some heavyweights of the European game, but opted for the project at PSG instead.

"We are a competitive team and my teammates are the best known players in France," Pastore said.

"For me, we are capable of being at the top. I came here in search of trophies as I haven't won any important titles, but I'm in football for that."

Pastore, 22, has moved to Ligue 1 after two years in Italy.

"I already discovered Europe by coming from Argentina and I adapted well at Palermo. The club and my teammates did all they could for my integration."

The international has moved to PSG for a massive €43m, but he insists his price tag won't interfere with his displays.

"I have nothing to say about the price of the transfer," he noted. "It's not a source of pressure. I've had the good fortune to come to a very important club.

"I finished the season late because of the Copa America and I had only 15 days of holiday. My plan now is to get in shape. "
