Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye says he feels sorry for former boss Alan Pardew.
The Newcastle United manager is having a hard time of it in England's north east after a poor beginning to the Premier League season and his old star is one player who can certainly see that he is struggling.
But Cabaye is full of hope for Pardew because he is of the belief that the former Southampton boss is a man capable of getting through these tough times and pulling Newcastle's season back on track.
"The manager is in trouble now, so I'm sad for him," Cabaye told The Telegraph.
"Even when I was there, the manager showed us the way to play. It is the players who have to work harder.
"He gave me everything when I arrived three years ago, so for me he is a good manager and he will stay the same in my mind."
France international Cabaye was signed by Pardew from Lille in the summer of 2011 before departing for French giants PSG for around £19million in January this year after 93 appearances and 18 goals for the Toon.
