PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi hasn't dropped his interest in Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho is close to PSG star Neymar, who has requested his signing in talks with Al-Khelaifi.

While Barcelona remain keen and are expected to bid again in January, local media source Sport says they're aware of competition from PSG.

Indeed, Al-Khelaifi has already held talks with Kia Joorabchian, Coutinho's prime agent, about resisting Barca's January attempt and staying with Liverpool until June. PSG would then come in with a firm bid for the Brazil international.

Al-Khelaifi has no interest in signing Coutinho in January as he's already Cup-tied from the Champions League.
