PSG are preparing a bid for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The London Evening Standard says PSG have been very impressed by Eriksen's performances for Tottenham this season, and will continue to monitor his form closely during the second half of the campaign.

PSG, one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, are likely to embark on a significant summer of spending to turn them into genuine Champions League contenders.

Despite having resources far superior to those of every other French club, PSG are only third in the table, behind Marseille and Lyon. Two of their most high-profile acquisitions of recent years, Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi, are expected to leave Paris at the end of the campaign.

Eriksen has three years left on his contract, which is worth close to £40,000 a week, and is believed to be very happy at Tottenham, as are the club with him.
