PSG are moving to keep Ezequiel Lavezzi away from Liverpool.
Liverpool have been linked with a bid for the Argentine.
The Daily Express says reports in France suggest the Ligue 1 club have reconsidered Lavezzi's position and hope to get the 29-year-old to sign a new deal.
Lavezzi currently has a deal until June 2016, but the right offer from PSG could now permanently end Liverpool's hopes of signing the former Napoli star.
On the other hand, if talks go badly PSG could once again consider trying to offload Lavezzi rather than letting his contract run down.
