PSG midfielder Marco Verratti admits he had an offer from Fiorentina this summer.

Verratti penned a new deal with PSG last month.

"There was a contact with them," the Italian told Sky Sport Italia. "However, I decided to renew my contract with PSG instead.

"I want to thank the Viola, though. They are a great side in my opinion, they have reinforced and I wish them well for the season ahead."
