Jeremy Menez says he had to quit AS Roma for PSG for the sake of his career.
He completed his 8m transfer this week after failing to really connect with the Giallorossi supporters.
"Roma remains a good experience for me during which I forged a close friendship with Philippe Mexes and Francesco Totti.
"They are great champions and great men who helped me to progress," said the 24-year-old.
"Paris Saint-Germain was my destiny. This club is going into a new dimension and it was a turning point for my own career too.
"Signing for PSG was a sentimental choice, but above all a professional one. I think our mutual ambitions come together at the right moment.
"I want to fly higher and so do PSG."
