PSG midfielder Marco Verratti has denied touting himself to Barcelona.

After victory in the Champions League on Tuesday, Verratti chose to address quotes attributed to him about his Barca ambitions.

"Things I never said were in the press. I did not want to say it before the game, but I say it now," he stated.

"I read an article that said that I dream of playing for FC Barcelona, my dream is to win here at PSG. If tonight we had not won, I would not have changed my mind. I have great confidence in this club, I have confidence in the project. When you're part of a big project, you feel even better.

"And I think for me, winning here will be different than if I win with other clubs."
