PSG are ready to test Chelsea's resolve this summer over Eden Hazard.
The Daily Star says the big-spending French champions have been tracking Hazard for the past year with a view to making a summer bid.
And manager Laurent Blanc - who recently signed a new two-year deal at the Parc des Princes - has now instructed the club's Qatari backers to finance a deal to sign Hazard, according to reports in France.
PSG have also been keeping tabs on Hazard's team-mate Oscar, but Blanc has made it clear the former remains his priority.
"The players we want will be purchased. We already have a great team. There is no great need," said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
"I'll meet Laurent Blanc this week to discuss, even if it already has.
"With him, it was established a few profiles of stars of interest. No one will stop us, I repeat.
"That's our business."
