PSG are expected to test Manchester United's resolve this summer with a bid for Wayne Rooney.PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi insists they have not made an approach for the 27-year-old, who has two years to run on his contract. But he believes PSG would be an attractive option for Rooney amid continued speculation about his future.
"He's a great player - one of the best strikers in the world," said Al-Khelaifi. "I think everybody would like to have him. But if you want to talk about the facts, we have not approached him."
The Manchester Evening News says despite manager Sir Alex Ferguson's insistence that the forward will remain at United, an offer above £20m from PSG could be too good to refuse for both player and club.
While the Premier League leaders may be willing to offer Rooney a new contract, it is unlikely they will offer him improved or even the same terms as his current deal.
