PSG keeper Sirigu delighted to be part of Italy draw

Salvatore Sirigu was delighted to be part of Italy's 2-2 draw with Nigeria.

The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper was given his seventh cap, standing in for Gianluigi Buffon, but conceded two goals.

"I think it was an important signal from those who don't play as much. It showed we all care about this jersey and want to honour it, giving our all on the field every time we are called upon.

"It's difficult to play in the Nazionale, as you don't have time to work on movements, unity and the things we work on at club level every day. It's tough for players who at club level have Cup competitions, League and then internationals, as you don't have time to yourself.

"Tactical organisation has always been the keystone of Italian football, so it's unusual that we don't have time to work on that.

"Today we conceded two unlucky goals, as there was a push on Manuel Pasqual in the first goal and the second was a fluke that I doubt he could do many times again.

"It's true we need to be a little more careful, but things are changing in Italy and we're targeted more at attacking than defending."
