PSG identities are backing the move for former Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.
Buffon has been tabled a two-year contract offer by PSG as the 40 year-old considers whether to play on next season.
Former PSG sports chief Leonardo stated: "Buffon, everyone knows him. There is nothing to say. He may be the best goalie of all time. I think he's someone very strong, with a personality and someone very nice."
Ex-PSG midfielder Thiago Motta, who played with Buffon for Italy U21s, also said: "Gigi is someone sincere and honest. You just have to be clear with him from the beginning. For my part, I wish him to come to PSG. It's not age that counts. If he comes, it's because he feels ready to come. He knows himself very well. And I think if he comes, it's because he has a huge motivation in mind.
"I do not know which one. But maybe it's about winning the Champions League..."
And former Juventus goalkeeper Landry Bonnefoi, now with Strasbourg, also stated: "I fully understand that at his age and with his life, Alphonse (Areola) still wants to be a starter. After, if he has to stay, he has to say just one thing: the guy in front of me is Buffon! Buffon! And he's going to teach him a lot of things. A year with him is not lost. Areola would progress at his side.
"Gigi gives off a force that serves those at his side. And it's even more valid for the keepers. He has always improved other goalies. Frankly, it's not bad luck to be in the same club than Buffon - who remains, for me, one of the best goalkeepers in the world."
