PSG have dropped their pursuit of Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

The France midfielder, 27, had been on the wish list of the big-spending Ligue 1 side. But PSG boss Laurent Blanc has decided against making a move for Cabaye.

And with Arsenal refusing to up their offer for the playmaker, Pardew is more confident he can keep his prize asset after the transfer window shuts on September 2, says the Daily Star Sunday.
