PSG fullback Yuri Berchiche admits he never wanted to leave Real Sociedad this summer.

The former Tottenham junior signed for PSG earlier in the transfer window.

"Real wanted to make the change. I think I was coming out of a good season, I felt like a major player. But it seems that I was not that important for Real," he told El Mundo Deportivo.

"My first intention was clearly to stay at La Real, I was very happy to play the Europa League, but I thought I deserved, at least, to sit down (with the leaders) and talk about the season I had made.

"I had offers, but Real decided to do nothing.

"That is unfair to me. I think I had a good season, the best of my career without a doubt."
