PSG defender Marquinhos admits losing David Luiz last season was a blow.

Luiz left PSG for Chelsea on transfer deadline day in August and went onto help the Blues clinch the Premier League title.

In contrast, PSG struggled to be competitive in Ligue 1 and Marquinhos says: "We had good times together. He's an important person in the locker room.

"He has an incredible joie de vivre.

"The years spent with him will serve me on and off the field."
