PSG coach Thomas Tuchel insists he was never a serious candidate for the Arsenal job.

A free agent last season, Tuchel was linked with the Gunners after Arsene Wenger announce his decision to resign.

However, the former Borussia Dortmund was confirmed PSG coach before his predecessor Unai Emery would be named new manager of Arsenal.

"I made my decision to join the PSG before the departure of Arsène Wenger," said Tuchel.

"There was never too much contact with Arsenal."
