PSG coach Blanc hints at Ibrahimovic red card appeal

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has suggested that his club could possibly appeal Zlatan Ibrahimovic's red card.

The Swedish striker was sent off in the 31st minute of PSG's successful Champions League trip to Chelsea on Wednesday night for a tackle on Blues midfielder Oscar.

It was a questionable decision by referee Bjorn Kuipers and Blanc has indicated that the French club will discuss whether or not they lodge an appeal with UEFA.

"I haven't had a chance to look though the footage," said Blanc.

"There will be a committee who will convene to talk about the decision and I hope he will be in our party for the quarter-final."

PSG made it through to the final eight of Europe's top club competition courtesy of a spirited 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge despite having ten men for around 90 minutes.

The Ligue 1 champions won on away goals after a 3-3 aggregate following the 1-1 draw in the first leg in Paris last month.
