PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti has branded Italian football as in "crisis".

Ancelotti says it's critical Italian clubs take care of their young talent, including Marco Verratti who is now with him in France at PSG.

"Italian football is in crisis and must now take a new path and focus on young players," said Ancelotti.

"I am following with interest Mattia Destro, Fabio Borini and Stephan El Shaarawy.

"I am very supportive of Verratti."
