PSG chief Claude Makelele insists Mamadou Sakho is not for sale.

Sakho is a top target for Arsenal and Liverpool and has admitted he could leave in the summer after failing to nail down a regular start under coach Carlo Ancelotti.

But Makelele insists: "Mamadou is the future of the club. It is impossible for him to leave. Sometimes I also had bad thoughts as a player and you have to know how to avoid them.

"Of course you want to know that you're important, but sometimes you have to remain silent.

"Mamadou has reached a level when he cannot act like a child and ask for affection. He is a professional."
