PSG chief Leonardo is locked in talks with the camp of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. Both L'Equipe and Le Parisien say PSG have made Rooney their prime target this summer market and Leonardo is in negotiations with his representatives.
A basic contract worth 15 million-a-year has been tabled, with PSG also prepared to offer United 30 million to part with the England international.
The big obstacle in talks, however, is Rooney's reluctance to leave England. The striker would prefer Arsenal or Chelsea if he must be sold by United.
PSG won't give up, though, with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi stung by AS Monaco's publicity grabbing mega spending in recent days.
