PSG chief Leonardo admits Man Utd rejected offer for Berbatov

PSG chief Leonardo admits they've failed with a bid for Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov.

The Daily Mail says Leonardo has confirmed he made an approach for Berbatov.

PSG were ready to offer £12m, however, Sir Alex Ferguson told the French club's new coach that the 30-year-old was staying at Old Trafford.

Leonardo said: "I had Ferguson on the phone but he told me that he was counting on Berbatov and that he was not for sale."
