Manchester City aren't rushing into new contract talks with Yaya Toure.
The Daily Star Sunday says Toure, 29, would be delighted to sign a new five-year deal but is unlikely to be offered a contract as long as that, given his age.
Powerhouse Toure can earn £220,000 a week with bonuses and new CEO Ferran Soriano and football director Txiki Begiristain are determined to reduce the club's wage bill.
They are conscious of adhering to Financial Fair Play regulations and are also looking to recruit City's next generation of stars in a reshaped squad.
PSG are believed to be eyeing Toure, who is looking for the last big contract of his career.
