An early break between Arsene Wenger and Arsenal is now on the table.

Le 10 Sport says the Gunners board is now actively discussing the unthinkable just three months ago of a stunning early split.

Should Arsenal stumble this season, it is suggested the board would be prepared to ask Wenger to step down before his current two-year deal expires.

For now, after two crucial wins this past week, Wenger retains the club's full support. However, the idea of the Frenchman's departure is now being discussed.

Interestingly, it's also mooted should Wenger choose to walk before the end of the season then PSG would be eager to speak with the veteran manager about a return to French football next season.
