PSG ace Marco Verratti admits he enjoyed their Champions League triumph over Chelsea.

Verratti helped the Paris club knock out Chelsea 3-3 on aggregate in midweek, avenging their defeat to the Blues in the same competition last season.

"It was like a semi-final or a final," he said of Wednesday's match at Stamford Bridge.

"We prepared for it better than last season and it was sweet to take revenge against Chelsea.

"Last year we had too much respect for Chelsea, but only certain defeats can lead you to be more determined.

"This time we knew we were the better team. The energy in the locker room makes me feel stronger too and the more I play, the more confident I am."
